



The arts and entertainment hub of the valley is the Center for the Arts. The facility, located at 240 S. Glenwood Street in downtown Jackson, consists of the 41,000 square foot Arts & Education Pavilion, as well as the recently completed Performing Arts Pavilion, which includes a 500-seat theater, a Music Center, and theater rehearsal and administrative spaces.
The town of Jackson is home to dozens of bars, many of which host bands that play styles ranging from Western to hip-hop and everything in between. There is an active theater scene, from the summer shows of The Jackson Hole Playhouse to the year-round productions of the Off Square Theatre Company. Several chuck wagon outfits entertain with food, Western music and re-enactments of scenes from the old West.
Word lovers can participate in the annual Jackson Hole Writer's Conference, or enjoy cowboy poetry hosted by the Cowboy Jubilee during the Fall Arts Festival. Even the Teton County Library gets into the mix, hosting speakers and performances.
Jackson hosts a rodeo every Wednesday and Friday night from Memorial Day through Labor Day. In July the Teton County Fair offers livestock showings and competitions, rodeo events, carnival rides, a demolition derby and a host of other showings and performances by local adults and children.
Grand Teton Music Festival is the centerpiece of the annual Music in the Hole event on the 4th of July and showcases virtuosos playing classical and other kinds of music during their summer season, from July through August, in Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village.
Jackson is home to over 30 art galleries, featuring genres from traditional western and wildlife to contemporary. It is home to the National Museum of Wildlife Art. The local non-profit Art Association hosts two juried art fairs during the summer, and Teton Village hosts many art events throughout the summer.
Arts and entertainment doesn't stop with the end of the summer tourist season; the annual Fall Arts Festival is a popular event unto itself, making Jackson, Wyoming, one of the foremost art communities in the country. Known for Wildlife and Western art, this vibrant arts scene is growing to include contemporary art and draws art lovers to the valley for gallery openings, art walks, auctions, the Western Design Conference, Cowboy Jubilee, and a plethora of art and performance options.
In Jackson Hole, there is more to do than there is time to do it.
